“Gala Bellisima” Auction and Dinner Dance

Held in the Oakland Rotunda, the California Shakespeare Festival’s Eight Annual Gala featured both a silent and live action amid French bohemian décor. Before dinner, guests mingled in the main lobby sampling a selection of passed hors d’oeuvres and enjoying spirits and wine courtesy of Diageo and Roederer Estate Anderson Valley. Under soft red lighting designed by Production Logic, 340 guests dined on a “Moulin Rouge” inspired menu at tables off set by rich burgundy linen and gold chavari ballroom chairs. Adding a touch of flair to the “Gala Bellissima,” the graceful poppy centerpieces by Impressions also featured a giant martini glass filled with floating candles. Before guests danced the night away, the meal concluded with alternating desserts of a classic lemon tartlette and Paris Brest filled with chestnut cream and served with miniature pitchers of caramel sauce.
